Abstract

This work is a slightly modified, extended version of the work Experiencia Docente a través del trabajo colaborativo en el Máster de Formación del Profesorado, which was presented at IV Jornadas Internacionales de Campus Docentes, held in Palma de Mallorca (Spain). Therein, an educational experience held in the subject Nuevas Tecnologías, during the academic course 2012/2013 was described. This subject belongs to the Master de Formación del Profesorado in the University of Alcalá (Spain). The experience is based on the development of a virtual campus related to a Mathematics secondary course subject in a teacher training program. We now deepen into certain aspects such as theoretical and technical issues, organizational and management aspects in the development of the virtual course. The experience rests on the students’ collaborative work. They pretend to be a team of teachers at a secondary school who are asked to collaboratively design a virtual campus of this sort. Some of the main aims in this experience are that students achieve the capability to incorporate ICT tools –such as Moodle- for their future job as secondary school teachers), and to encourage collaborative work through creating and maintaining a virtual campus under these features.
