Abstract

The intention of this study was to construct and to validate an instrument to evaluate the perception of parents and mothers with regard to the school center as element mobilizing or promoting physical-sports activity. The sample was composed by 301 subjects of the city of Granada, 142 parents (47,1 %) and 159 mothers (52,99 %). Of 37 initial items that the inventory was containing, they were excluded across the analysis to correlate 8 of them for not expiring with the criteria of validity and reliability. The final questionnaire remained shaped by 29 items and 6 factors. The full scale Cronbach alpha was 0.876, with an explanation of the variance of 57.5%.
