Towards the cibergoverment: Evolutions of the local administration of the Region de Murcia in Internet (1997-2002)
Abstract
We present an analysis of the development of the WWW information systems in the local administration in the "Comunidad Autónoma de la Región de Murcia" (1997-2002). Firstly, we review the legislation about public administration on Internet. Our main objectives are to register the historical evolution of the use and application of WWW in local administration of the "Región Murciana", and to propose one method of analysis: the study of the first level domains of the electronic addresses of the units involved. Finally, we conclude that an important and homogeneous evolution for all the local administrations has been observed together with an strong influence in places with more than 10.000 inhabitants, with a high use of proper domainsDownloads
