Abstract

The new modalities on digital communication in the net is cause of a real breach or divide in the interpersonal relationship. The digital divide has, obviously, positive and negative effects in such new modalities, that is web pages, net games, any discussion forum as well as the electronic mail. Among all these applications, our attention is mainly focused on the electronic mail and there are two reasons for that. The first one is just the concept of quality, since it is the mail that gathers the larger volume of interactions in the net. The second reason concerns to quality, since it brings forward new expression lines, not only suitable for mail communication but also for other purposes, such as any discussion forum or chat channels. Such digital divide is growing up with the use of the electronic mail, since it has an effect on the quantity and quality of any interaction. Politeness and good manners in communicative situations not only reduce noises, but also prevent from any jam by encouraging the dialogic comprehension among the correspondents. From this discursive horizon we can take into consideration different ethic and legal communication aspects. Thus, we propose eleven aspects referred to epistolary activity, such as polite expressions, information about the subject or suitable ways of response sending out. Considering those aspects we will be able to decide the suitable course of conduct for a real case of farewell or withdrawal from an electronic mail list. As a conclusion we collect some principles on communicative politeness
