Oferta de los servicios de orientación en las universidades españolas
Abstract
Inany educational system, guidance and counselling are considered as a hallmark of quality. Since the 1980s, while there has been a dramatic increase in the range of choices on offer in universities throughout Spain, it has become more difficult to enter the work force. Consequently, there has been a growth in the number of Guidance and Counselling Services aimed at helping students in decision making throughout their years at university. This study describes Guidance and Counselling Services and pinpoints innovations and improvement actions implemented in these services at Spanish universities in order to facilitate information that might be helpful in improving the system. Two sources of information have been used: institutional web sites and telephone interviews with persons in charge of Spanish university Guidance and Counselling Services.
