Abstract

Seasonal immigration is a yearly recurrent phenomena in the Province of Jaén during the olive harvest. It is a fact that workers travel from their home places together with the whole family including children of school age. As there are no studies about the real socioeducational needs of this group, we propose research in two phases, qualitative and descriptive, during and after the period of work. We will draw on the main sources of information (parents, teachers, and seasonal students and their non seasonal schoolmates) to ascertain their real needs, aiming to establish some conclusions and specific proposals for improvement.
