Process of basque language certificate validation and adaptation to the Common European Framework Of Reference (CEFR)
Abstract
There are over 140,000 individuals in the Basque Country with certificates of Basque language proficiency. These certificates are issued by different official bodies of the Basque Government but lack mutual recognition between them. In order for the certificates to be recognised and adapted to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, the Basque Government commissioned a group of experts to conduct a study for this purpose. The procedure for the study and suggestions are described in this article.Downloads
