Abstract

Despite of the progressive popularization in the Western European societies of the cultural diversity subjects in education, the decisions and mesures adopted do not meet adequatly the requirements of the pupils ant their families. The article propose an intercultural education approache by exposing its concept, theoretical basis and dimensions.

According to the main assumptions of this approach, some recommendations are made in order to regulate the educational research and practice, considering that the public educational system ought to be able to guarantee that every person who is required to go to school is thaugt by someone who is prepared, knowledgeable, competent and caring.
