No. 29 (2024)Monteagudo journal celebrates the publication of its number 29 (2024), which includes its three traditional sections: the "Monographic" section, titled "Spanish American poets of the 20th and 21st centuries", coordinated by the Professor of the University of Murcia , María Dolores Adsuar, the "Varia" section, which collects the articles sent to the magazine over the last year, and the "Reviews" section, requested from specialists by the journal's management and dedicated to academic books and essays.

“El traje que vestí mañana”. One hundred years of Trilce (1922-2022)
No. 27 (2022)Monteagudo wants to celebrate the first centenary of the first edition of Trilce, the second collection of poems by César Vallejo, and the last one he published during his lifetime, since the editions of the poems written in Paris, baptized by Georgette Philipart as Human Poems, and the writings during the Spanish Civil War, Spain, take this chalice away from me, came off the presses in book format posthumously, after the funeral illness, physical and moral, that ended the life of César Abraham in 1938. This book, Trilce, which –as the author pointed out to his friend Antenor Orrego– was ignored for decades by his contemporaries, has been recognized as one of the most transcendental milestones of the Latin American avant-garde. By virtue of its originality and expressive vigor, in addition to the suggestive fascination of the neologism chosen by Vallejo as its title, it is finally considered a masterpiece of Hispanic poetry, born in the greatest freedom, a “sacred” freedom as its own author defined it, where the greatness that all authentic poetry beats.

Correspondences between literature and painting: Ramón Gaya and Italy
No. 26 (2021)This issue contains a monograph dedicated to the work of Ramón Gaya, the exceptional Murcian artist and writer, in his cultural relations with Italy. With this issue, Monteagudo pays homage to his figure. In addition, in the usual "Varia" and "Reviews" sections of the magazine, academic articles received during the year are collected.

The path of Rulfo
No. 22 (2017)Monteagudo celebrates in this issue the centenary of the birth of Juan Rulfo, gathering in its monographic section studies of relevant specialists in the work of the distinguished Mexican writer. Likewise, our journal collects in its usual, "Varia" and "Reviews" sections, works and articles on other subjects received throughout the year.
