Deslinde teórico de la novela corta
Abstract
The present study tries to delimit the position of the short novel, attending to its genenc condition, as opposed to other varieties or genres from other literatures which are more or less similar ("short story", "nouvelle", "novella", etc.) or even from the Spanish literature itself ("cuento largo"/"long tale"). For that reason, taking as a reference the wide development of the Spanish short novel in the first decades of the 20th century (1907-1936), this study analyses -from a pragmatic, anthropological and socio-cultural perspectivethe importance of the context and its peculiar frame as factors that help to delimit the specific position of the short novel in the literary field and, consequently, its singular nature.Downloads
