Authors

Abstract

The topic concerning the sea and fi shing is always laying in Josep Pla’s works. In particular, in Aigua de mar. The book starts with a tale, called “Bodegó amb peixos” in which, as a painting, Pla presents a luxuriant and full colored use of marine terms: sea tools and fi shing tackle. This article tries to penetrate into the tale, —as its author shows it to us, i.e. as a painting—. This article tries to analyze the used terms, as a glossary, looking for, examining and making a comparison the different origins of every term in Catalan and Spanis, offering a translation to Spanish when possible.
