Design of a low-cost simulation-based ultrasound-guided central venous cannulation's model to training and improvement of skill acquisition
Abstract
Background: To propose a simulation-based ultrasound-guided central venous cannulation’s simulation model, during residency.
Methodology: We design a tissue model in platinum-cured silicone rubber with a central tubular structure along, pressure sealing with rigid hoses for ultrasound-guided central venous catheter cannulation.
Conclusion: A simulation-based inexpensive, low-stress, no-risk learning models was proposed to facilitate acquisition of ultrasound-guided central venous cannulation skills by residents-in-training.
