Hipótesis y tener por verdadero en Kant
Abstract
In this paper I will analyze two aspects of the Kantian theory of knowledge that are usually ignored: 1) the theory of taking something to be true and 2) its connection to hypotheses. In a first approximation, I will explain what makes "opinion" different from other ways of holding to be true, such as knowledge and belief. Then, after giving account of what opinions are, I will develop the reasons why Kant considers hypotheses to be opinions. Lastly, I will explain what Kant refers to when he talks about hypotheses and which kind of inference he thinks of when he talks about them.
