Abstract

The article states the relations between the Discourse Ethics of Habermas and the moral universalism, specially in its kantianian form. The logic of the pratical discourse and the formulation of an principle of universalization interpreting as nucleus of the moral point of view constitutes the principle pieces of the intention to reformulate the kantianian ethics. The controversy between Habermas and Agnes Heller about the range of the cognitivism shows the complex and difficult relation between morality and legality. During the last years habermas has given space to objetions proceeding from the hegelianian tradition, that reduce the force of their initial pretensions and reiterate the necessity to turn back to a planning of Critical Theory.
