Abstract

I study in this paper the anxiety like a a subjective phenomenon connected with loneliness, helplessness and uncertainty. Taking into account the studies from Kierkegaard, Heidegger and Sartre, I understand anxiety originated in freedom and the possibilities of the future. Nevertheless, I do not consider the infiniteness of freedom (Sartre) behind the anxiety, but the infiniteness of possibilities and impotences due to their unpredictable and irreversible character (Arendt). In conclusion, I propose that making a story of the own anxieties makes possible to avoid them momentarily but not definitely, because while having possibilities (future), capacity of action and loneliness, anxieties are unavoidable.
