Abstract

This paper tries to illustrate Ayer's vinculation -in his first stage- with the Logical Positivism's thesis. We revise main topics. Which this author adopted from Viena's Circle, i.e.. the criticism to the metaphysics based on verification criterion: the negative to accept the existence of synthetic a priori judgements: the conception of the task of philosophy as philosophical analisys -understood as linguistic analiys of the empirical science statements: the phenomenalism and the ideal of unified science. The article concludes with a reflection about the current validity of philosophy conceived in the posivist way.
