Abstract

In this article, we present a grammatical class of lexical units linked by a hyphen from a corpus of specialized French lexical units (LU) gathered for PhD purposes. After describing the theoretical and methodological framework of analysis (Cabré (2000), L’Homme (2004)) in order to present the classification criteria for these units, we will look into them from a morphological, terminogaphic and contrastive point of view. The morphological analysis unveils the components of the words which are more commonly employed in this field, whereas the terminographic analysis points to the presence or absence of these LUs in specialized dictionaries. The deficiencies found will be solved with our proposal of equivalent Spanish terms.
