Abstract

     This paper analyses the tourists’ satisfaction level with leisure activities and services as well as with their free time enjoyment in the destination. Based on this, it is possible to obtain rates of satisfaction with the main attributes of the leisure services, and their future implications. With this objective, this empirical research is developed by means of 956 personal interviews in the Dominican Republic for its two main tourist regions: Punta Cana and Puerto Plata.      Finally, and as the most important revelations, we can stress the following: there are important significant differences of satisfaction with the various leisure services analysed; there is a strong influence on the tourists’ leisure satisfaction arising from the tour operators’ activities in the destination.
