Review of the scientific literature on wine tourism in Spain

Abstract

The importance of wine tourism has acquired in recent years in Spain has led the academic literature to present different studies. This paper presents an analysis of the current state of existing matter in the wine tourism in Spain defining both the studies by Regions and/or designations of origin and a review of studies focusing on supply and demand for tourism. The main results support the importance this field has acquired in recent years and the need to establish methodologies based on similar studies, which then can be compared.
