Abstract

By using the anthropological method of «life histories», in this article we intend to approach the Spanish educational system during the time of Franco. The analysis of these testimonies allows us to complement other types of studies based on written sources. This article is made on the witnesses’ memories. After a brief contextualization, we deal with different aspects highlighted in the interviews: segregated education, strong religious presence or patriotism as key elements for education.
