CIENCIA Y DIVULGACIÓN PERIODÍSTICA: LA METÁFORA COMO MEDIACIÓN
Abstract
Taking as starting point the concept of text in the sense of discourse and consequently the concept of theme as a process of thematization I try to explain a) how Linguistics has dealt with the study of the metaphor as a cognitive phenomenon so that we can understand its internal structure better, b) I also try to analyze the role of the metaphor as an independent and autonomous device of coherence and cohesion, and not only as a semantic resource. Finally I refer these ideas to the study of journalistics texts which have some particular characteristics, specially texts related to Science and Economy. To conclude, I would say that this kind of texts use metaphor as a cognitive strategy, a textual mechanism of cohesion and a mean of textual highlighting.Downloads
