Screens and minors under debate: proposals and strategies to offer an educational response at home
Abstract
The use of screens by children is an issue that worries families who often do not know how to deal with their integration at home. Currently, there is a movement of parents calling for the elimination of screens in schools, and many communities have already begun to implement measures in this regard. In addition to this situation, this article presents current evidence on the relationship between the use of screens and minors and offers strategies and proposals to help families in this process. Although we are aware of the great problems of reconciliation that exist in our context, the reality is that technology should be considered as one more element in the home and the accompaniment of families with their children is the key to this integration.
The article concludes with an approach to the content of the issue that includes research on digital technologies in Higher Education, design and validation of models and a theoretical study on the use of ChatGPT in education.
