Abstract

The section II of Canto General (1950) “Alturas of Macchu Picchu”, one appears like a religious rite of raigambre that summons the immensity of the cosmos and promotes the “internal elevación” or the mystical ascent. It allows to arise, in poem XII, the possibility of human regeneration with a conscience of the historical mission of the poet, because it is to announce the liberation of that they suffer and the possible redemption. Thus, the nerudiana plea announces an historical salvation that it elevates to the human being until his telluric origins and it seduces us by his brotherly tone.
