El Romancero de la novia de Gerardo Diego
Abstract
Romancero de la novia of Gerardo Diego is a book with an eminent personality on its own. For this he chooses the popular metre, romance, of deep tradition, in order to tell stories for “everybody” and make his own biography popular. The poet achieves a beautiful representation of this traditional metre, keeping a love story in a context that is very near to Bécquer or later, Juan Ramón Jiménez in his Rimas.Downloads
