Abstract

The task of editing and annotating dramatic texts of the Spanish Golden Age must be one of the main scopes of today criticism. Now, at the threshold of the fourth centenary of Calderon de la Barca´s birth, it is the right moment to get the definitive critical edition of all his comedies. In this paper, regarding the antecedent textual calderonian critique, the author offers several guidelines in order to accomplish this important philological enterprise.
