Los amores de Don Luis y Doña Clara: ¿esbozo de novela o episodio integrado?
Abstract
This study deals with teh brief novel of the affairs of Don Luis and Doña Clara, recounted in chapters 42 and 43 of the Firsth Part of ‘Don Quixote’. Despite the rather bad public opinion about it, we have highlited its successful integration in the whole work, analysising the correspondences and interrelations of such episode both with the main story and with other secondary accounts included in the final chapters set in the contry inn. In this way, we can confirm the famous comments made by Cide Hamete at the famous comments made by Cide Hamete at the beginning ofo chapter 44 of the 1615 ‘Don Quixote’ about the “casos sucedidos al mismo don Quijote”, among which the account subject of our study also is.Downloads
