Abstract

Within the frame of general observations on epistolarity (not including epistolary fiction), and with a historical excursion pointing out the contribution to historical understanding of some famous non-literary epistolaries, the unpublished letters of Jorge Guillén to his wife are discussed in comparison with a similar correspondence by Pedro Salinas and his wife, as well as the letters exchanged between the two friends.
