Novela corta y novela poemática
Abstract
The short story collections constitute a literary and editorial phenomenon characteristic of a wbole period: the first third of our century. These stories, greately accepted by the reading public and very wide spread were. in their most part, entertaining works marked by the conventionality of their actions and characters. As a contrast, some outstanding authors achieved to create within that frame some real master works, with the aim of elevating this fiction to the category of a poem. Gabriel Miró, Ramón Pérez de Ayaia or Miguel de Unamuno are its most representative names. This type of "poetic short story" are both the result of personal and coherent aesthetics, and of a special type of narrative. The intensity of the poem requires text brevity and conciseness.Downloads
