El cuento semanal en la continuidad literaria y periodística de su tiempo
Abstract
Using as a reference the catalogue of authors of El Cuento Semanal, we have tried to find its correspondence with the onomastical indexes of some important weekly Spanish papers which, with different narrative contents, preceded that series. Before 1907, Eduardo Zamacois was the editor of Vida Galante (1898-1902) and collaborated with Blanco y Negro, Nuevo Mundo y Los Lunes de El Imparcial. From his contacts with these papers a corpus of eight authors was formed which grouped under his editorship in El Cuento Semanal(1907-08) and Los Contemporáneos (1909-10), the two collections that he founded successively and that contributed so much to the editorial promotion and the canonic consolidation of a good many of those authors.Downloads
