PERMANENCIA DE LOS NOVÍSMOS
Abstract
The Spanish poetry of the second half of the 20th century would no be the same without the anthology Nueve novísimos poetas españoles (1970), by J. M. Castellet. This paper studies the evolution of the most relevant authors belonging to this group: Antonio Martínez Sarrión, José María Álvarez, Pere Gimferrer, and Guillermo Carnero. Their latest works show the intensity of a poetry which combines tradition and modernity, art and intimacy.
