La construcción del discurso poético de Joan Margarit. Fundamentos para la interpretación de una educación literaria en dos lenguas
Abstract
The quality and originality of the work of Joan Margarit, besides providing the contemporary Spanish poetry with the optics of a poet who writes in Catalan and Spanish –with all the intrinsic wealth that this entails–, represents also the poetic experience of an author whose profession is architecture, a fact that also contributes to expand the angle of vision of poetry. This article analyzes the poetic production of Joan Margarit from his beginnings to the present day, based on the premise that Joan Margarit’s poetic production is decisively conditioned by the fact of writing in two languages. This study delves into the circumstances that led to his being known in the scope of the Catalan language rather than in the Spanish language one, and therefore not included in the collective anthologies of the sixties and seventies, along with the poets born in the same period. This way, Margarit’s poetry has been developed by drawing a personal itinerary, not attached to any group aesthetics, which makes it dif cult to frame him in any poetic generation and endows his work with complete uniqueness.Downloads
