Abstract

During the Spanish civil war, in the rearguard in Murcia, a lyrical aspect of a rallying nature was developed, with a political propaganda, and of course, social criticism in the typical way of speaking in Murcia. Its author, Francisco Frutos Rodriguez, gathered those compositions in a magazine which he called El Meliciano. Disappeared in the post-war years, a copy, as a condemnatory proof, has been found in the committal proceedings which doomed this writer. From its content, I have taken aout a series of compositions about which I have done a critical analysis based on those verses within a historical context.
