Menéndez Pelayo, su relación con Zaragoza
Abstract
Zaragoza projected some circumstances over Menéndez Pelayo which got him involved in some specific moments of his life. From his school years, times of rest in a trip from Barcelona, to the many quotes and references to Zaragozan authors, his relationship with Zaragoza culminated when he was presented by the Conservative Party to the elections for the Parliament in July 1890. The pre-electoral intrigues and the support received by a large number of well-know Aragonese did not stop him from, as a foundling politician, lavishing speeches or attending the previous functions. However, he was indeed obliged to do that once achieved the certificate of election and carry out his duties of listening to petitions of his fellows and the local power group.Downloads
