Miguel de Unamuno y la Gran Guerra
Abstract
This article analyses Miguel de Unamuno’s response to the Great War of 1914-1918 and the influence that the War had on Unamuno’s work and role as an intellectual. It deals with the following themes: the origins and nature of Unamuno’s support for the Allies during the War; the role that the War played in Unamuno’s evolution as an intellectual and political figure; Unamuno’s reading of the political situation in Spain over these years; and his understanding of the lasting effects and consequences of the War in Spain and in Europe as a whole.Downloads
