Abstract

This article goes through Luis Harss’ mythical text, “Los nuestros”, which described the Uruguayan writer together with other “boom” authors from a very sharp physical and psychological perspective, the basis of later auscultations and recreations of his figure. The analysis of Harss’ text reveals itself as a valid way to sketch the main lines of Onetti’s ethopeia and the cardinal points of his literary creation.
