Abstract

Letters to the Editor (LTEs) are a key component of scientific communication. More than just correspondence, these brief journal publications play an essential role in dialogue and knowledge review. LTEs function as an open forum where readers and researchers can express their opinions, offer constructive criticism, clarify concepts, and even present findings or new hypotheses. Furthermore, they act as a post-publication review that complements traditional peer review by highlighting overlooked biases or errors, thereby strengthening scientific quality and accountability.
