Abstract

This paper analyses the categorial displacement which is produced by the replacement, in Heller's philosophy, of history by a "Theory of history" mainly based in moral engagement: it presents the difficulties in the foundation of this new theory, as well as the problematical effects that it has on a critical theory of present times.
