Abstract

The conception of justice of J. Rawls can be understood as double-folded one: (1) as what's beyond all doubt, i.e., as a classical work of the political and moral philosophy of this century and (2) as a conception that is reflected in a few classical and basic problems of deep and everlasting tradition, having an effect on the basic structure of a democratic society. This second meaning is what this article deals with, since it (that meaning) determines and bounds the way the social and political justice is thought, and, very particulary, the problems regarding gender and family, together with their application to the Law of Peoples.
