Abstract

The transdisciplinary and geographical features of Jameson’s work refers to a double movement of intellectual expansion (disciplinary and geographical) that has resulted in a complex thought that aspire to offer a theory that allows to represent – even though tentatively – capitalism like a system as a whole. Such proposal, although having awakened a relatively small attention in the european continent – attributable, among others reasons, to the fate of Marxism actually existing – becomes of great interest as it enlightens, in an original way, the mediations between the economic base and the ideological superestructure in the context of late capitalism by means of cultural artifacs conceived as complex symptoms to be interpreted.
