Abstract

This article analyzes the relationship between ideas put forward by Michel Foucault and those of Kant. In particular, adressing the connections found within Anthropology from the Pragmatic Point of View. The french author translated the Anthropology while studing the historic constitution of modern man and his psychiatric rejection towards insanity. One of Foucault’s final points to «What the Ilustration is?» according to Kant, is the radical tie of all modern philosophy with the above mentioned findings. However, Foucault also stresses the contradictions offered by Kant on the demand and validity of Baudelaire’s dandyism.
