Abstract

From the beginning, relativism is one of the most important problems which phenomenology is confronted with. For this reason, no wonder Aron Gurwitsch, one of the most outstanding students of Husserl, devotes to this subject many interesting reflections which are the theme of this article and which we could resume in this way: starting from the unavoidable plurality of the cultural and normative worlds of the humans, it is necessary to bring out those structures which, in the dominion of consciousness as well as in that of the diversity of the worlds, seem to be common to every human and every world. If we can achieve this objective, so Gurwitsch, we would be able to overcome the problem of relativism. The deficiencies of this proposal are analized at the end of the article.
