LA CIUDADANÍA CONTROVERTIDA: LA CONSTRUCCIÓN HABERMASIANA DE UNA RAZÓN POLÍTICA NORMATIVA

Abstract

The present article approaches the way in that the political theory of Habermas understands the complex phenomenon of the citizenship in the contemporary democracies. Indeed, Habermas seeks to articulate the two tuneless aspects in those that the idea of democratic citizenship is settled, subjective rights and/or political participation, on the base of a conception of the public space that is adapted to an idea of political rationality that presents a double feature; (I) it is established as moral reason, and (2) it is presented to itself as procedural reason. By both factors, we are before a conception of the citizenship that differs of liberalism and communiiarianism. Also we must add the extension of the normative and procedural rationality in the environment of the political decisions as long as basic budget of the rationalization of the public space. Is it compatible with the formal character of this rationality?. The answer to this question is the final objective of the present article, that is to say, the game that is necessary to settle down among «ldealität» and «Faktizität» in the political reality by the light of the comunicauve theory of J. Habermas.
