Abstract

Natural science as we have it is a humana artifact. It is, in a deep sense, our science, and it describes reality not in a categorical an absolute way but rather provides an investigator-correlative result that reflects the mode of interation between ourselves and our natural environment. The sort of natural science that would be produced by a remote civilization of differently constituted alien beings with a different place in nature's evolutionary scheme of things must be expected to be substantially different from our sort o natural science. In this way natural science should be seen as contextually variable.
