Abstract

This paper systematizes Carl Schmitt´s arguments against liberalism in two aspects: individualism (which is parallel to dualism and pluralism) and neutrlity. With this aim in view, Schmitt´s criticims to Hobbes and Kelsen are stated. The article ends with a vindication of politics which, even though assuming Schmitt´s arguments, avoids his proposals (which are understandable under the adjetive «politics theology») suggesting another meaning for community and democracy.
