Abstract

The recently published book by Rafael Hernandez Guillen (A long day. Globalization and political crisis) serves the author of this article as a starting point for a discussion on the validity of political thought at the time of addressing the global crisis we experience in our current forms of political action. It tries to find out, in this sense, if the established democracy as the best possible form of government itself coud ruin the ‘Democracy’ as idiosyncratic lifestyle consistent with other conceptions of the world that have not had it in their conceptual tradition.
