Abstract

The press attempts to present, itself as a purely non-speculative reflection of the reality which lies before it. The epistemological coupling truth/falsehood and others of that kind would thus be overcome when confronted by the sheer objectivity which should characterize it. Obviously, this dream of a knowledge beyond good and evil usually succombs as soon as this journalistic logic isset in motion. Nevertheless, journalists try to defend themselves thus against any sceptical attack on their way of 'truth-telling'.
