Abstract

Contemporary art shows certain features that place it far away from its modern definition, whose basic requirements are autonomy and reflexivity. A new perspective is needed in order to show its intentions, rules and goals. Whereas postmodern theoretical discourse points out the end of the great discourses and puts forward the pluralism as an antidote against the discourse's absolutism, the so-called postmodernist art questions the art autonomy foundations', claimed since modernity, and try to show the permeability between art practice and other discoursive practices which shape reality.
