Abstract

Where is the place of mourning, its nature? In what sense can it be said mourning has its own place? Between human and divine, between the temporary and the undying, these refiections tend to delve into what one might call a "theory" of mourning, by way of several philosophical domains: ethics and ontology as well as logic and aesthetics, according to a lot of questions have to do with the latest and fascinating interests of Derrida's work, concerning the proximity between mourning on the one hand and concepts like "fidelity", "promise" and "affirmation", on the other one.
