COMPARATIVE STUDY OF ARTICHOKE (<i>CYNARA SCOLIMUS</i> L.) BY-PRODUCTS SILAGE WITH DIFFERENT ADDITIVES
Abstract
Different treatments have been compared, by adding several additives, in order lo lest lhe possible improvements in the si lage of the canning industry artichoke by-product. Three treatments were tested: sodium chloride (25 glKg), dry beet pulp (62.5 g/Kg), formic acid at 4% in dosis of 62.5 ml/Kg, being fourth lot Ihe control group. Samples were analyzed to study their chemical and fermentalive characteristics. After the 100 days period of the study, the results obtained show that the additives in the used doses caused no significant improvements in the quality of the silage.Downloads
