Abstract

After the French literature beginning in the Caribbean, we attended the late development of women writers’ perspective. We had to wait until the 70’s to see a feminine highbrow literature proliferation with an internationally recognition. In consequence, intellectual perspective is doubled, also announcing the rebirth of interest in this young feminine literary creation. Through their literary and critical work, M. Conde, M. Warner-Vieyra, S. Schwarz-Bart or G. Pineau, show us a specific feminine space where their heroines are, unquestionably, a valuable indicator of the lifestyle changing in Caribbean women. Then, the authors and heroines have been questioning themselves from the past colonial and the traditional culture to the present modernity. They were succeeded in reconstructing the trajectory which has been followed by black Caribbean women, while a women voice has been consolidated which intends to complement their own identity search.
